Details:
In September 2005, the
New York Center for Autism Charter School
opened its doors as the first charter school in New York State dedicated
exclusively to educating students with autism spectrum disorders (“ASD”).
This school provides a unique learning environment that helps students learn
through positive reinforcement, incidental teaching, video modeling and
shaping. This school is authorized by the New York City Department of
Education.

Speaker comment is welcomed, speakers must register. Written comments
will also be collected on the day of the hearing and can be submitted via email

from the community in connection with any proposal for a charter renewal.
