Kathleen O'Hagan, Seventh Grade Teacher, IS 278

One teacher I would truly like to thank is Mrs. O’Hagan who works at Marine Park ( I.S.278 ) Junior High School in Brooklyn. She was my seventh grade teacher (I'm in ninth grade now). She taught me things that I would hold onto forever. My worst subject is math and Mrs. O’Hagan took the time to show me how to understand it. When I did get it, I got an 80 in the class. In English, Mrs. O’Hagan showed me that there are more to books than just words. She opened my mind to other books such as Shakespeare.

Mrs. O’Hagan was an excellent teacher who was always smiling. She made me feel that it was okay to be smart. She let us know we were a smart bunch despite what everybody else said. Our class was the only seventh grade class that didn’t have to go to summer school.  She let me know that it is never too early to consider what college I want to go to and how I plan to get there. With that said I would like to thank Mrs. O’Hagan for all that she has done.
