The P.S. 228 educational family, consisting of administrators, teachers, parents and children, will work together at school and at home to realize our beliefs that all children will meet the performance standards and achieve academic excellence. The mission of the P.S. 228 educational family is to create a nurturing, child-centered environment with a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate, standard-based curriculum to maximize the intellectual, social and emotional growth of all our children. Together we foster a love of learning and the creative arts through differentiated instruction. We celebrate the uniqueness of each child by integrating, a diversified music program, original poetry, dramatic performance arts, and the visual arts.
