The mission of the Office of SchoolFood is to provide safe, attractive, appetizing, nutritionally sound meals in a timely manner to the school children of the City of New York.
SchoolFood is the largest school food service provider in the United States, providing meals to students in over 1600 locations including NYC public elementary, middle, special education, high schools, charter and some non-public schools. Programs include Breakfast, Lunch, Snack, Supper, LYFE, Saturday and Holiday and Summer Meals. SchoolFood serves over 180,000 breakfasts to students daily, free of charge, and over 860,000 total meals each day.

PS 127Q believes that eating healthy and regular exercise are optimal to a child's development.  As such, we have included resources for parents and children about eating healthy.  We strongly encourage our parents to take an active role in what their son/daughter is eating and drinking on a daily basis.
