PS 127Q takes great pride in working closely with the community. Partnerships include LaGuardia Airport; Elmcor; Kiwanis; and the 115th Precinct. East Elmhurst is known for its diversity. Notable former and current residents of the community include Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Langston Hughes, Jackie Robinson, Willie Mays, Eric Holder, and Helen Marshall.
