Mission

The Queens School for Career Development supports attending students to ultimately gain access to, and be successful, in the world of work.  It is our mission to insure that the students graduate from this public educational experience with the skills, intrinsic abilities to cope with, and a sufficiently developed work ethic to respond to societal expectations so that they can succeed to their greatest individual potential as functional and wage earning members of their community.  It is therefore the explicit responsibility of this educational facility to provide the students with every possible opportunity to achieve to this level and reduce the gap between them and their like-aged peers.  By doing so, we aspire them to become independent and functional members of their communities to the greatest extent possible. We also acknowledge the responsibility we have to support parents and families to join this effort and raise their own expectations of their children.
