Dear Parents/Guardians:
The Staff of PS 123Q wish you a healthy and prosperous new year. Now that the holidays are over, we need our students to buckle down and focus on achieving academic success.
I am sure your child received many expensive toys or electronics for Christmas, but please do not let him or her bring them to school for any reason. The school cannot be responsible for lost or stolen toys or electronics, especially cell phones. Please be conscious of the Mayor's mandate on cell phones. Students are not allowed to have them in school. If you have a special circumstance, please contact our Parent Coordinator, Ms PauPaw at 347-563-4270 and we will try to accommodate you.
P.S. 123Q has a school uniform policy. You are encouraged to dress your child in white shirts/blouses and blue pants/skirts that are the uniform colors.
Important Dates:
Parent Association Meeting Wednesday, January 11th at 9:00 AM
Dr. Martin Luther King Day--Monday, January 16th School Closed
Student progress reports will be sent home before the end of January. If you have not met with your child's teacher this school year, now is the time to make an appointment. Promotion-in-Doubt letters will be mailed home before the February break.
Many of you have received a letter from Ms Savastano, Guidance Counselor, concerning your child's excessive absences. These missed instructional days can cause your child to be held over at the end of the school year. Please respond to the letter by making an appointment with Ms Savastano to discuss your child's academic future.
Lunch money is due every Monday. Please place the cash or money order in a clearly marked envelope with your child's name and class.
BREAKFAST ENDS AT 8:05am, therefore students must be here by 8:00am.
Sincerely,
Cynthia Sumay-Eaton Principal
