Our Mission

Our mission at PS 49 is to create an environment which fosters lifelong learning. To this end, we offer a liberal arts program complimented by technology, music, art and dance programs. Our goal is to stimulate, encourage, support and challenge growth and learning through problem solving and independent thinking. Students should be trained and educated so that they could be receptive and responsive to the complexities of a pluralistic society. Our program strives to provide a dynamic environment and quality education in an elementary school.
