Building on last spring’s guidance to maximize parent-teacher conferences in 2011-12 you are encouraged to share student work on Common Core-aligned tasks with families this spring. New resources in the Common Core library are available to support sharing student work and instructional expectations with families. Additionally, please update parents on their child’s promotion in doubt status and progress towards meeting promotion standards, in accordance with Chancellor’s Regulation A-501.Consider sharing student work and Common Core resources such as these translated one-page overviews at upcoming parent-teacher conferences. You can access additional parent-teacher conference resources, including this list of questions, on the Parent Coordinator page  .For questions, contact your network family point person, instructional coach, or promotion point.
