Montauk Intermediate School, I.S. 223  received an A on the recent Chancellor's report card.  The Principal, Mrs. Adduci, indicated that she wants the school to strive to continue to provide the highest quality of education possible for the students.
  • Parent Teacher day and evening is scheduled for November 20.  The afternoon session is 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. and 6 P.M. to 8:30 P.M.
    Kaplan and Brienza are currently providing after school classes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon, preparing students for the standard ELA and mathematics tests.

    I-Squad will beging meeting after school to review Iteach/Ilearn practices.  Mr. Sorocco is currently forming the squad to assist students and teachers with smart board and laptops.

    The After School Chess Club.

    The after school chess club is expected to begin next week after school.

    Specialized High School Preparation After School Class

    The After School Specialized High School Program is currently meeting on Monday and Wednesday after school from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M.  On Monday the students prepare for the mathematics section with Mr. Sorocco.  Visit his Specialized Math Blog.

    On Wednesday the same group of students meet with Ms. Almengor from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M. to prepare for the ELA section of the Specialized High School Exam.

    The examination will be administered at Brooklyn Technical High School on October 27.  Any question about the after school Specialized High Class can be emailed to Mr. Sorocco or Ms. Almengor.
