The students of P.S. 380 enjoy a variety of non-academic activities. These activities include Music, Physical Education, Art, Library, Science and Computer Class.
Our Music Program offers vocal, instrumental and dance instruction. All classes participate in a yearly "Spring Gala" showcasing their talents and cultural diversity.
Our Physical Education program focuses on exercise as well as the emotional/social growth of all students. Team sportsmanship is a vital component of the program, which encourages confidence, trust, cooperation and school spirit.
Our Art Program aligns activities with the NYCDOE Blueprint for the Arts. All students are introduced to a variety of artistic techniques, modalities, and are encouraged to appreciate the fine arts. Art is integrated within all subject areas and displayed throughout our school community.
P.S. 380's Library Science Program, which is alligned with New York City School Library System's Information Fluency Continuum, supports students and teachers through an integration of activities and resources that motivate students to read and learn. It offers the children the opportunity to explore their individual interests and become independent learners by exposure to various genres of literature and strategies for locating information.
Our Computer Program offers students the opportunity to produce a School Newsletter, as well as create P.S. 380's website.
In addition, many fifth grade students participate in our "Future Teacher" Tutorial Program. Whereas, our fifth graders assist our younger students in Literacy and Mathematics. This program encourages responsibility, citizenship and cooperation.
