WELCOME TO THE P.S. 175 FOSTER MEMORIAL LIBRARY

           Our school library is a newly renovated library equipped with new furniture, new computers, and new books.  We were fortunate to receive a grant from our city council member, Ms. Inez Dickens.  We were also rewarded the Library Reach Grant from the Fund for Public Schools.

          The library is partnered with Renaissance Learning through the Carmel Hill Fund.  They are responsible for the computerized Sagebrush Info Centre library program that is in use for the circulation and cataloging of the library collection.  They provide training and system support for the program.

          The library is open five days a week with a full-time librarian.  It is available to the entire school community.  Students and teachers come and borrow books on a weekly basis.   Parents also have access to their very own “parent collection”.   There is an “open access” period which takes place Monday through Wednesday.
