Supplemental Educational Services (SES) provides extra academic help in reading, English language arts, and mathematics, free-of-charge to certain students outside the regular school day – before or after school, on weekends or online. Programs are offered in students’ own homes, schools, community centers and provider centers.
Parents should consult the SES Provider Directory in the Parent Guide and contact providers directly to determine which program is most appropriate for their child.
Contact your school's Principal or Parent Coordinator to learn more about this opportunity and to see if your child is eligible. Call 311 if you don't know their phone number. Determination of Student EligibilityA student is eligible for SES if he or she receives free lunch and attends a Title I public school that has not made adequate yearly progress (AYP) for three years or more. These schools are identified as Title I Schools in Need of Improvement Year 2 or in Corrective Action.
