The Office of Curriculum and Professional Development supports teachers citywide through curricular and instructional initiatives. By collecting and sharing educational research and best practices, OCPD provides vital tools for the teaching and learning that take place in classrooms throughout the city every day.  The resources provided by OCPD make it easier for New York City teachers to approach their work in an innovative manner and to draw from the experiences of many other educators both inside and outside of the New York City schools. The individual departments that are part of this office collaborate across content areas to provide support for school personnel in their efforts to provide their students a full and well-rounded education.
