We offer a number of meetings and forums for families to learn about important services, resources, citywide school policies, and family-oriented learning opportunities within community school districts.
District Family Advocates offer a series of events known as District Family Days. District Family Days occur once a month and give families and parent leaders the opportunity to get to know each other, reflect on parental needs, and learn about important services and/or best practices to support lifelong learning at home.
We also work with school administrators and parent leaders to offer local communities the opportunity to better understand the educational needs of students and discuss educational priorities. Families and parent leaders are encouraged to attend District Leadership Team meetings, District Presidents Council meetings, Community Education Council meetings, and District Title-I PAC meetings to learn more about their school community’s needs.
