ECF designates World Wide Holdings, Inc. as Developer for East 57th Street Educational Campus

The Educational Construction Fund has designated World Wide Holdings, Inc. of New York, NY to be the developer for an ambitious re-development of the East 57th Street Educational Campus at Second Avenue, which currently houses the High School of Art & Design and Public School 59. The developer was selected following a competitive request for offers process.

The Fund plans two new modern school facilities for the High School of Art & Design and PS 59 totaling 311,000 SF.  Retail and residential uses will also be built on the site above the two schools.

Construction of the project is expect to begin in late 2008.
