Transit

  • The City of New York offers employees an opportunity to purchase an annual unlimited-ride MetroCard, called the Premium Transit check MetroCard, via a pre-tax payroll deduction.   • Verizon
    DOE employees receive:
    - 19% discount off monthly access on all plans $34.99 or higher (available to all New York City employees)
    - 25% discount off accessories that come with either a one-year or lifetime warranty

Wellness

  • Town Sports International
    Town Sports International including New York Sports Clubs, Boston Sports Clubs, Washington Sports Clubs and Philadelphia Sports Clubs offers a discounted rate for new Passport membership (any club, any time). Monthly rates are $72 with a one-time $49 initiation fee and one-time $59 processing fee. New membership is for one year, and all New York City DOE employees and spouse/domestic partners are eligible.

    Gold's Gym offers all New York City DOE employees discounted membership rates at all three of its locations (Crossbay Boulevard in Howard Beach, Livingston Street in Brooklyn, and Strickland Avenue in Brooklyn).     The Wall Street Journal offers up to 50% off the normal subscription cost on the online and print editions of The Wall Street Journal for K-12 teachers and librarians. Educators are offered an academic year subscription of 36 weeks. Savings Bond Purchase Program
