Summary Description of Course:
The Department of Library Services is conducting a series of four full-day professional development workshops focused on building a 21st century library program. In these sessions, formerly known as Newly Assigned, librarians and teachers who are newly assigned to a New York City school library as well as experienced library personnel looking to recharge their library programs are invited to explore the principles and practices of dynamic 21st century school library programs. The sessions will focus on vision and goals, program administration, collection development, facility planning, integration of technology, collaborative planning, and information skills instruction.
