DESCRIPTION:
ExploreLearning offers a catalog of modular, interactive simulations in math and science for teachers and students in grades 3-12. We call these simulations Gizmos. Gizmos are fun, easy to use, and flexible enough to support many different teaching styles and contexts. Our Gizmos are designed as supplemental curriculum materials that support state and national curriculum standards; in addition, Gizmos help teachers bring research-proven instructional strategies to their classrooms.

- As with all web-based applications, please be sure that your school has enough bandwidth to run the application, even when used concurrently by several students. If you have questions about your school’s bandwidth, please contact DIIT.

For Macintosh Users
- MacOS 9.2 or higher
- Internet Explorer 5.x or Safari 1.2 (or higher), or Firefox 1.5 (or higher), with cookies and JavaScript enabled.
- Shockwave Player 8.5 or higher (Full Version 11 or higher for Intel Macs) - Download the free Shockwave plugin. Go to our test page to determine if you have it installed. (Note: Administrative permissions may be required to perform installation)
- Flash Player 9.0.45 or higher - Download the free Flash plugin. (Note: Administrative permissions may be required to perform installation)
- 56k dial-up or broadband Internet access (see below for LAN requirements)
For Windows Users
- Windows 98, ME, 2000, or XP
- Internet Explorer 6.x, or Netscape Navigator 7.0 (or higher), or Firefox 1.5 (or higher) with cookies and JavaScript enabled.
