The NCTE 2009 National Day on Writing is October 20, 2009. Students, teachers, parents, grandparents, community workers--all of us-- are invited to submit a piece of writing. Any type of writing composition may be submitted. Writing will be posted in the National Gallery of Writing, a searchable archive of writing from across the United States. By participating, teachers can help students realize the importance of writing every day in every way.
