The vision/mission at P233Q is a belief that our students have the right to an individualized education that will enable them to reach their potential, challenge them to meet high expectations and participate as independently as possible in their homes, school and community.
We believe that our students have the right to express themselves in a socially acceptable manner using a variety of communicative devices: to be exposed to and involved with literacy activites and materials, and to receive an education that is aligned with New York State Standards. Our students also have the right to be integrated into society with their non-disabled peers.
The parents of our students have a right to be an active part of the assessment, development, and implementation of the educational program for their child. The mission of the school is to allow parents to have the right to be part of a "person centered planning" leading toward post school opportunities. Parents, staff and administration will participate in a collorbative decision-making model. Respect should be extended to and received from all stakeholders: students'parents, administrators, teachers, other school staff members, and any other agencies or affiliations that are involved with P.233Q
