- Ditmas Intermediate School, Brooklyn, NY
In partnership with the New York City Board of Education, JPMorgan Chase launched the most extensive home-school computer network initiative in the country in 2000 at Ditmas Intermediate School in Brooklyn, New York. ON_DEC (Our Neighborhood Digital Education Community) uses technology to improve student performance while enhancing both the teaching and learning experiences. This past year, the Sligh Middle School in Tampa, FL became the second school to be ON_DEC. The JPMorgan Chase Foundation made a multi-year, multi-million dollar commitment to provide technology, support, training and Internet access. Free state-of-the art equipment was given to all staff at both schools and to more than 3,000 students.
