The tools and resources contained in the English Language Learners (ELLs) Parent Information Case (EPIC) are designed to help school administrators, parent coordinators and other school staff, inform parents of ELLs about their rights and responsibilities within the New York City (NYC) school system.
- The EPIC Facilitators' Guide provides an overview of Department of Education reforms, regulations, requirements, and information specifically related to ELL services. This guide gives users a firm background in ELL education in NYC, and offers strategies and suggestions for school staff to maximize their time, resources and contacts in order to best serve ELL parents.
