Pamela Talish, Kindergarten Teacher, PS 139Q

When my daughter started her first day in public school, I prayed that her teacher would be as wonderful as my teacher was when I started school. My prayer was answered. Ms. Pamela Talish taught my daughter how to spell to the point where she barely needs to study for her spelling tests and loves to read books.

I still see Ms. Talish leave school around the time I come home from work, sometimes 7:00 PM or 7:30 PM. From the first time I met her I saw how much she loved her "children". When of one them passed away last year, she attended the funeral and still makes calls to the family even on the anniversary of the child's birthday.

There are so many wonderful teachers and staff that have worked with my daughter during her three years at P.S. 139Q but Pamela Talish, like my teacher Miss Veronica Siggins of P.S. 174Q, will be remembered for a lifetime.
