INFORMATION FOR VENDORS The NYCDOE’s No Child Left Behind Application for Contract process is conducted once a year . Once the Application Process is closed, informational documents, timelines, manuals, etc. regarding the process will remain posted for *information only* . Vendors can have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the process by reviewing these documents and may apply for a contract the following year. WHAT IS THE NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND ACT OF 2001? The No Child Left Behind Act requires that the State Education Department identify public schools, charter schools and school districts that are not making adequate yearly progress towards meeting the State's learning standards. Schools and charter schools in their second or greater consecutive year of school improvement or in corrective action must provide supplemental education services, which are academic enrichment services that are in addition to instruction provided during the regular school day. These services could include tutoring, after school services, and summer school programs and can be provided by for-profit or non-profit entities or by school districts.
APPLICATION FOR CONTRACT FOR STATE APPROVED PROVIDERS: (for information only) CONTRACT APPLICATION TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT FOR APPROVED SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICE PROVIDERS (ASESP)
*** * IMPORTANT INFORMATION * * FOR STATE APPROVED PROVIDERS WHO ARE AMENDING THEIR CURRENT CONTRACTS WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION:** FOR NCLB PROVIDERS WHO ARE CURRENTLY CONTRACTED WITH THE NYCDOE FOR NCLB-SES AND WANT TO SUBMIT AN AMENDED APPLICATION FOR CONTRACT TO THE NYCDOE AFTER SED APPROVAL - PLEASE BE ADVISED: ONCE YOUR AMENDED PROGRAM IS APPROVED BY NYSED, YOU MUST SUBMIT AN AMENDMENT APPLICATION FOR CONTRACT TO THE NYCDOE. SEE TIMETABLE FOR CURRENT PROCESS. YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE GIVEN CAREFUL REVIEW AND IT WILL BE DETERMINED IF YOUR AMENDMENT IS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE NYCDOE AND IF SAID AMENDMENT WARRANTS ANY INCREASE IN THE COST OF YOUR CURRENT CONTRACT. IF IT IS NOT IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE NYCDOE, YOU ARE TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE SAID SERVICES PURSUANT TO YOUR CURRENT CONTRACT. PLEASE BE ADVISED, ALTHOUGH FEDERAL FUNDING MAY INCREASE YEARLY, A PROVIDER CAN NOT INCREASE THEIR CURRENT CONTRACT SOLELY ON THE BASIS OF THE INCREASE. A CAREFUL REVIEW OF YOUR PROPOSED AMENDED CONTRACT APPLICATION WILL BE CONDUCTED AND IF YOUR AMENDED PROGRAM WARRANTS AN INCREASE IN YOUR CONTRACT, A NEW AMENDED CONTRACT WILL BE ISSUED.
