NCLB Public School Choice Program

The New York City Department of Education is committed to helping all schools reach high standards for student achievement and giving every child in every school a quality education. The NCLB Public School Choice program was implemented to allow parents of students enrolled in Title I Schools In Need of Improvement (SINI) in year two or more, and Schools Under Registration Review (SURR) to request a transfer to schools not identified as SINI or SURR.
