Go to the document entitled “Grades 3-8 Mathematics Testing Program Guidance” for revisions in Performance Indicators made to correlate with the new testing calendar. Performance Indicators are referred to as either September-April Performance Indicators or May-June Performance Indicators. Also, please note that, because of the transition from the old testing calendar to the new testing calendar, for the 2010 test only, Performance Indicators tested will include, in addition to those now indicated as September-April, those previously identified as Post-March of the previous grade. For example, Grade 4 students will be tested on Post-March Grade 3 Performance Indicators as well as September-April Grade 4 Performance Indicators.
Reviews of the Everyday Mathematics Planning Guides and the Impact Math Pacing Calendars have been done to ensure that all content that students are responsible for knowing is taught prior to May, 2010. Revisions were required to the Impact Math Pacing Calendars only. The Everyday Mathematics Planning Guides and the revised Impact Math Pacing Calendars are available here. If your school is not using the Core Curriculum materials, then it is important to do an analysis of the math program that your school is using, and make any adjustments to instruction necessitated by the new state testing calendar.
