Campus/Multi-School Librarian Network PD Series

Summary Description of Course:

The Office of Library Services invites librarians serving multi-school campuses to a series of professional development and networking sessions.  The topics for this year’s series include teaching and assessing information skills and navigating the complex campus environment to create school library programs that positively impact student achievement in all the schools on the campus.

Newly Assigned Library Personnel – A Professional Development Series

Target Audience:                     Library personnel with fewer than three years of experience

Summary Description of Course:

The Office of Library Services is conducting a series of three full-day professional development workshops for newly assigned library personnel in each borough. The series will be extremely beneficial for library media specialists or teachers assigned to the library with fewer than three years experience. The sessions will focus on vision and goals, program administration, collection development, facility planning, integration of technology, collaborative planning, and information skills instruction.
