Item Analyses of the Grade 3-8 New York State ELA Exams – 2009

The file below contains item analyses for the Grades 3 to 8 New York State ELA Exams for 2009.  For each grade, you may group the data by: 1) Individual Class (at each school), 2) School (the entire school), 3) Network, 4) District, and 5) Citywide.

The file includes numerous “views” of the data, each easily accessed by simply clicking on the various tabs at the lower left of the worksheet.  For example, you may: a) compare each class to citywide averages for each item, b) compare the performance of each class to all other classes at each school, for every item, and c) view a summary of the results of all classes in each school side by side.  Hotlinks are provided to each test item, to display the actual question from the test with the associated performance indicator.

README contains further information and details on all that is included.
