The mission of the Community Learning Support Organization (LSO) is to partner with and support schools as they strive to prepare students to achieve their personal best, fulfill their responsibility to the community, and positively influence the course of events in the 21st century. In collaboration with their schools, the ultimate destination for the Community Learning Support Organization is excellence for every child.
The Community LSO is founded on the belief that schools must become communities themselves and develop meaningful relationships with families and their communities. Schools will be supported in the development of professional learning communities where commitment, dedication, and collegiality will be nurtured and expected. In turn, through programs and practices that foster the development of the whole child, schools will enrich the lives of students.
The Community LSO will help build bridges between schools and their communities. Together, they will promote academic rigor and high expectations by helping schools become personalized learning environments for students, professional learning communities for staff, and reciprocal partners with families and communities.
